Every sat wake up very late one..so today was no exception. Wanted to study in the afternoon but could not or even have the motivation to do so. Later at night was the wedding dinner of my mum's cousin. Food was not bad and had some funny moments with my cousins. Barely know anyone there. The groom, my mum's cousin is a teacher and it seems there are many teachers who attended the dinner. Think letting the pics do the talking will be easier.

Wah, stress ah..common test coming soon and im not fully prepared. My brain cant seems to think of anything for CATS..rather drain out. Life is so full of mystery.. It is so hard to know what's one thinking. A rather suprise quiz for EG1 today and could barely do all. Wonder how to survive common test. MTM was fun today and the lecturer told my group a news. The mechanic workshop at blk 51 will be shifted and canteen 1 will be moving in, air-conditioned. The construction will be done about 2 years time and other canteens will be following suit phase by phase. Sadly that the project came rather late. If not will be enjoying the food at the canteen. Programming remedial manage to learn some new stuffs and played some cs later before making our way to queensway due to rain which delay our movement.

Upon reaching queensway, we went straight to the shop to look at the kappa jersey but then there is no production of small sizes thus the search for alternative brands n design. Hid complain of being starve for 4 hours finally got his wish as we went for dinner at mac before continuing searching for the class jersey. Lucky for us, we manage to find a shop which sell the umbro jersey for 17.50 with name and number! Found a nice colour and hoping to discuss with the rest tml and ordering it by this week. Went to cut hair later, cutting it short as i will be sweating alot during the competition if i keep my hair too long.

What a touching video it is. Both genius in the music world and young. Ye Eun, the young korean kid who at 3, could play the piano without anyone teaching her. Her blindness did not stop her from playing difficult notes and her passion for music is commendable. Britain young star, Connie Talbot won the britain's got talent show thru her singing which is amazing for someone of her age. The future is bright for this 2 stars and i hope there will be more news about them.

Today manage to finish the tutorial 4 and hand in, at last. The quiz for my engineering mechanics i got 17 over 20 which is quite good consider i could not really do the second question well. At class, we were designing the logos for our jersey and it was rather funny but in the end a good design came out. Think we tml going to queensway to check out details of jersey before ordering. Was doing CATS project and lucky got some ideas things going on.

Nothing much to write every weekends.. Basically is just rushing out the homework and nothing i guess. Boring life isnt it. Was watching the charity show on channel 8 and was touched to see how many cope with the disaster. The images were touching and i hope the people will get on with their normal life as fast as possible. May God bless to the ones in Sichuan and Myanmar.

Today the first programming test and i did rather well. I was able to make the program perform what the question ask but think might got some error as i did a part seperately where i think it should be together. Aiya, never mind about that already. Whats gone means gone. Lunch at SIM was rather fulling as the western combo set was power. The remaining 1 hour was suppose to do my mechanics but then do 1 question only out of remaining 9...zzzz. The EG1 lesson was as usual and was trying to keep myself awake for the whole lesson. In the end sccumber to the sleep virus. It was a miracle that i didn fall asleep during the next lesson which is mechanics and i was rather active at the topic Friction. Lucky this topic tutorial only got 2 questions and the lecturer gave us till monday to hand up the previous tutorial 4.

After school was rather relax and the few of us decided to go library play cs as usual but then a change of plan result in going to Vivo City instead. The 8 of us, 4 gals & 4 guys went shopping. While the gals were 'shopping', we the guys were rather bored and tired, carrying bag & laptop to there. In the end, we decide to walk around by ourself & leave the gals to their own. After like about an hour later, we meet up and some wanted to withdraw money before going for dinner. After withdrawing, while on the way to the basement, siyao n ben decided to act gay n interlock their fingers together. Hid and i quickly move away from these 2 and people who are behind are staring at them!!..felt very paisei.. A few minutes later, 2 girls hop with their arms lock together against our direction and these 2 decided to follow their actions which is rather shocking. I dunno to laugh or feel paisei with them..lol but then it was fun thru out the whole time at Vivo. Dinner the gals ate at Superdog while we guys at Kopitiam... Shopping was left late as siyao bought 2 tees at Spade & 2 of the gals, eunice & emily, bought a shirt too for a friend bday. The feeling of no money was terrible & today was the first day of Great SG Sale..haiz...

After watching the match, barely got enough sleep as i have to rush to school to do the CATS project which in the end nothing was done at all. My group went to class hoping that presentation would be next week and how lucky are we, only 2 groups presented today while the rest next week. At least this project is much easier based on thinking.

Later for my SW, i skipped the lesson as i cant even walk properly much less running. In the end, Chong also skipped the lesson(he same SW as me) as he got a swollen ankle and we went to IMM to search for his mouse. Seeing him buying the Command & Conquer 3 Kane Wrath bundle pack which include Razer mouse total $89bucks make me jealous. What a good deal the bundle is. Pity i dont have enough money to buy. Sadly i also have to skip my swimming lesson at night. Well, thats the price to pay for being injured. Feeling very stress studying for PF test tomorrow and trying to finish the 12 questions on mechanics. Seriously, i dont understand clearly on mechanics & still trying to catch up.

I was feeling tired but happy for the whole day as Manchester United won the Champions League! The whole time(started from 2.45am to 6am) was exciting and nervous moments were plenty. When ronaldo scored that goal, the feeling was so great and wanted to jump off the sofa but couldnt as my knee is still injured. It was so exciting that ManU could have scored 3 goals if not for excellent saves by chelsea goalkeeper petr cech. Sadly, the feeling last till the stroke of half time where lampard equalise from a shot by essien from a lucky deflection off ferdinand n vidic. The second half was tense as chelsea played better but lucky it went into extra time. As time past without much chances of scoring, the dreaded penalty shootout came to my mind.

I always have bad impression of penalty shootout as it is based on luck. A sudden incident in the second half of extra time spark a free for all and drogba was sent off for slapping vidic. It seems the luck is changing to ManU direction. Penalties come and i was praying for everything. When ronaldo miss the penalty, my heart was pumping very fast but have not given hope. As it was raining heavily, the pitch was slippery. Lucky for God help, terry slips while taking the shot & skimmed the ball wide. The sudden death came and everyone was very nervous. Anelka take the penalty after giggs had scored and he has to score to keep chelsea in. Van der Sar predicts the correct way & saves it. ManU go on to receive their 3rd champions league trophy. The rest is history.

What a day today. Went to school as usual in the morning and during the class mass conversation, i realise the lesson at 1pm is cancelled as the lecturer has something on. Think i didn heard carefully when he told the class last week. Programming today was learning something new and then practice the revision question for the test this coming friday. Im beginning to fear that i could not attempt the questions on friday. Homeworks and tests are becoming to pile up before the school closes for 2 weeks. Hard life it is in poly.

After lessons went to eat lunch & afterwards went to play cs in the library. Well, thats like what we do most of the time. I almost forgot about an assignment which have to be handed up on friday and i currently did only 3 out of 12 questions!! Think i would ask for an extension of time to monday. The few of us in the class and 1 of my friend form a futsal team for the holidays competition which the winner get $150 cash! I would love to have the money..hahas..

Well, we had our first 'training' together today and it goes rather smoothly except for the super hot weather which almost kill us. Majority of us came back with injuries and i got scrapped at my knee. Bad luck i guess, it hurts even when i move. Maybe i could be excuse for tomorrow S&W..hahas.. Guess i have to sleep early tonight cause im watching the first all-english champions league final featuring the club i supported, Manchester United, against boring Chelsea.. As a faithful fan, i will pray for my team to win!

Disasters

Recently there have been bad news over two particular area in the Asia region which is Myanmar and China. The first disaster in Myanmar was i think unexpected as the cyclone suddenly hit the area. I feel that there is not enough details or evidences to allow others to investigate how it happen to prevent it from causing further damages by warning the people early. I believe the Myanmar junta held up too many things which causes further distress among the people in the affected region as well as those trying to help from overseas. The delay in allowing aid from many countries to the affected areas may increase the death tolls and allows diseases to spread more quickly. I hope that the affected people will carry on with their lifes and the aid relief teams could help to clear up the area as fast as possible.

I think the second disaster was more of a killer when the earthquake struck several regions in China. Death tolls was estimated to be over 15,000 and more are to be expected. It been days since the earthquake struck and hopes for survivors trapped in rumbles is slim. Most of the deaths has been childrens who are in school at the point of time and they could not rush out of safety. Most are the only child in the family due to China's policy of 1 child per family due to overcrowded population. The people should have read the signs when toads began to move away from their 'house' to other location which signal something, especially when u see thousands of toads 'travelling'. I dont think it is that common to see these stuffs. Soldiers and rescuers are finding it difficult to get to the affected areas as mountains and jammed roads are hindering the movement of reliefs. Many are also suffering from the aftermath of the earthquake which deals them a pyschological blow and would need time to heal.

I pray for more survivors in both countries and hope that they would carry on in life. Well, as a christian, thats what i can do other than donating some money.

Today feels so good, dont need to go to school cos is e-learning day..shiok ah. The bad thing is got assignments to do and need to be submitted online...sad. At least i could wake up later and take my time, dont need to rush to school so early.

I dont really miss the canteens food other than the price. The thing is, i had almost tried all stalls in all of ngee ann canteens and can rather pinpoint the better stalls. Sadly, NP only got 4 canteens compare to SP where got about 5-6 canteens, including the fast food one. I heard from my lecturer that fast food restaurant like mac dont feel it is profitable to set up in NP as nearby at King Albert Park there already have one restaurant.

Canteen 1 best food i think would be its yong tau foo and japanese. There is always long Q at this 2 stalls. The japanese food, erm i think is call kaki furong, which is nice. Canteen 2 best deal is the chicken rice which offers a variety of choices from chicken rice to black pepper chicken to duck noodles..etc. The other stall worth mentioning is the muslim. The food is nice and the portion is big. I bet once eaten, there wldn be any space for dessert. Canteen 3 best is similar to canteen 2. Nothing much to say actually since is similar. Lastly, canteen 4 western and japanese is the best. The western is delicious and come in big portion. An addition of rice totalled up is below 4 bucks. It is worth every amount you pay. The japanese majority of its food are not bad but many would buy the bento set which consist of chicken, fish and egg over the rice. That is one of the must try if u intend to order japanese.

There is still the nearby SIM canteen which so far i know that their western is good. Others i will be trying some other time. Students who want fast food have to go to Bukit Timah Plaza for pizza hut or KFC or King Albert Park for macdonalds. Thats a hassle of travelling and if there is only an hour break, i see it is pointless to go all the way down. I hope that there will be more variety of food in NP in future.

Weekends was as usual, nothing much happen. Yesterday i went to my cousin's house to celebrate my grandma's birthday and doing nothing much beside finishing my work(brought my laptop there) then playing guitar together. Today also quite boring. Didnt have the mood to do any of my homework and just slacking for the whole afternoon. I went to buy my mouse at imm's challengers. Cant believe the mouse that fujitsu gave spoiled so fast, think is the wiring faultly. Well, it is a free gift so dont expect any warranty to cover it. Blame on my luck i guess. Public holidays tend to be boring for me as i always stay at home unless someone call me out. Think the only good thing is i get to sleep longer. I'm a lazy horse..lol..

Stress

Sian la...everything also stress this few days. Studies stress, personal life also stress... What a life... Hopefully im able to manage it well. Days passes by so fast that i did not really enjoy much yet. So fast common test is coming and i dont think i prepare well enough yet. Think what others say of poly life is very relax is rather untrue. Assignments are graded in the overall grades, attendance & attitude in class are also graded, quizzes & normal test included. All these including common test are added up as 60% whereas final exam is 40%. At first thought that it was easy to get the 60% but realise it takes more then what i think. I need greater perserverance then before to get thru all this stuffs. Think the only time i did was after my prelim which i work alot for my O levels.

Lucky there is still time to relax and enjoy the life while it last. I hope by the next post in this section, i will be able to de-stress much more.

life in np

Rumours that ngee ann have the most number n most chio girls among all 5 poly. From wat i know, it is rather true. Virtually walking anywhere around the school, you can see more girls than boys. The ratio is like 2 girls to 1 boy.. Think tats how u get so much motivation..lols...

My class have abt 1 or 2chio ones i think but im not interested..hahas. Half of the class are foreigners which i dunno is good or bad. Actually got advantages & disadvantages, depending on individual to look at it. I feel tat they motivate me to work harder & not slacking too much & doing projects the work will be more evenly spread, no one will be lazy. The only problem i think is communicating with them which is hard. As most are from china, the english we speak is rather alien to them with the la, lor, leh behind every sentences and the short-form words in msn. Hopefully as a class, we can bond better and possible enough to hang out together during holidays.
